For the second year running I have had the pleasure of being involved in the interior installation for Alex James’ Cheese Hub at The Big Feastival.
Working closely with designer Amy Spicer, and Rebecca McDonald to install and create a beautiful woolly interior using products and materials donated by Cheese Hub partners Campaign for Wool.
We restyled the giant chandelier made by Wool and the Gang last year using yarns contributed by West Yorkshire Spinners to compliment The Groucho Club furniture. And, this year one of my biggest tasks was to knit, on site, a 3m x 2.5m backdrop for the DJ booth using Merino wool roving provided by Laxtons Specialist Yarns – knitted on huge poles and hand stitched with gold detail.
The Cheese Hub was packed all weekend and it was an honour to be part of such an amazing team.
