It’s well worth a visit to this beautiful part of the world and to top it off by seeing this beautiful work .
Congratulations Sarah.
Sarah is an emerging textile designer, whose work has an innovative and distinctive style and approach to both her painting and design. Sarah studyed for BA (Hons) in Textile Design for Fashion and interiors at Bath Spa University. Passionate about colour and print, she specialises in large scale, hand painted wall and floor art.
With an ability to adapt her skills between painting and textiles, she utilises her bold designs in a variety of textile processes. Sarah takes her inspiration predominantly from human and animal forms, or intricate details from nature, translating them into stylised paintings that are rich in colour, with a playful composition and narrative.
Sarah works from her studio in Bristol, designing for her own brand and working on freelance projects such as the recent SS19 collection with Circleline design studio in London. Sarah’s work was featured at premier vision 2019 as part of the main fabric forums.
Always well ahead of the game the 2nd year Textile Design for Fashion and Interiors have been forecasting what will be on trend for next winter.
Here you see fabulous items, designed and made by the talented students, already prepared to sell at the renowned
Bath Christmas Market in December.
Up Late at the Holburne Museum, Bath.
Our students thoroughly enjoyed sharing their love and passion for textiles with the wider public.
The 2nd yr’s had responded to the museum collections and their responses and interpretations were on display for all to see and admire.
The feedback was tremendously postive from students and visitors and from the museum staff too.
Here’s to next year.
