We couldn’t be more delighted for you Tanya.

Tanya says on her blog
I’m feeling very privileged that Embroidery magazine chose to feature my work in their graduate round up this month. The piece included is ‘Chelsea Trees,’ the inspiration, design process and making of which can be found here

Erasmus Exchange/Norway

Catching up with Sarah.

We knew Sarah would love this lifestyle and way of working. We’re delighted to hear the exchange is going so well.
Working with others from around the world Sarah is contributing to a broad and varied programme run by Volda University.
Situated in a magnificent setting the university offers extracurricular like no other and Sarah is taking full advantage of that.

I am having such a wonderful time, I’m involved with a big group of friends from all over and we are planning trips! We have just come back from Trolltunga and we’re off to Oslo soon! I have seen the northern lights, and did you see the blood moon the other day? I am just constantly hiking or sewing, which is just perfect.

We couldn’t resist

In January we visited colleagues in Norway to confirm our exchange agreement and look at good practice.
They welcomed the first of our students there this month.
Thanks for letting us know of your safe arrival Sarah.
Watch out for posts from our happy(and excited) student.

We took a collection of student work over with us and while we were there we couldn’t resist photographing the pieces in this dramatic and beautiful setting.
Here are some outtakes.

Fabulous eh ?

Forest of the Imagination

The beautiful, landscaped grounds at Bath School of Art and Design,Sion Hill,Bath, UK have permanent sculptures on display but often temporary exhibitions are featured amongst the established trees and shrubs.

Here we see two images from last years summer event plus a little film recording the experience.

Many of our students benefitted by helping the organisers in all aspects of the event.
