Before we finish let’s look at the start.

Over the summer we look at how we will improve and amend the project briefs.
Drawing and colour are the first topics for the new intake of 1st year students in October in Bath UK
Looking over the module we check to see that we are meeting the outcomes and that the learning is successful, measurable and put into immediate practice.

We have a so many new ideas on how to develop but as you can see we can’t squeeze much more in!.

We know it was well received and by the look on the students faces it was quite often fun!

Everyone is looking forward to another autumn awash with colour at the School of Art and Design

Drawing,painting and colour.

It’s always so exciting to receive such complimentary  letters from ex -students. How generous and kind to find the time to write.

Hello Amanda,

……….

I have found all of the drawing, painting and colour work I was encouraged to explore at Bath Spa incredibly valuable in industry. As much as the finalised repeats have to be briefed to suppliers in a digital format I think that you can only truly play with colour mixes with real paints and crayons to understand printed colour and achieve vibrant colour balances that are really hard to achieve on a computer screen!

Entrance to my office 2015

photo-21 Happy New Year to all the students at Bath School of Art and Design. What a fantastic year ahead. You are producing some tremendous work.

Two opinions

photo-16Gathering in the work produced by the 1st yrs. It’s fascinating to see totally different ways to explore colour. Here are two examples, each exciting in their own right. We have been lucky enough to have been joined by students from the Idea, Material and Object(3D Design)course. They have benefitted from exploring drawing and colour alongside textile students and the textile students have gained by looking at projects through different eyes.Win,win! After Christmas we translate this research into printed, embroidered or constructed outcomes. Keep an eye on this site to be the first to see the imaginative and innovative responses to this initial research. photo-17
