Preparing for Selvedge Christmas Fair

We are delighted to welcome back Penny Jeffries.
Penny graduated this year and is taking the opportunity to sign up to the alumni scheme which allows use of the facilities.

Penny is busy preparing for Selvedge Christmas Fair on the 3-4 December 2015 in Chelsea.We know the work will be fabulous Penny and can’t wait to see the results.

Professional standards

The 3rd years step up to the mark and produce work of industry standard.
They will spend this academic year honing their skills to produce a professional portfolio ready for the commercial world.

When mark meets colour

and now the sensitivity of mark marking and the use of colour are combined to explore future possibilities in textile design.
The first year will continue to look,particularly at texture,scale and backgrounds, to develop their personal hand signature.

During the first weeks the 1st year students recognise their own drawing style,appreciate the talents of others and experiment with new ways of looking,recording and developing for design.
Here Rae guides them through sensitive line and tonal excersises.
