It’s a wonder they managed to produce any practical work as the enquiries came thick and fast.
It was so exciting and reassuring to see, and listen to, the students so capably responding to the questioning.Well done to you all.

Understanding

We believe that a really good grasp and understanding of colour basics allows the student to realise and create their own colour identity. It’s then that the student starts to think ‘what if I…..’?
The rules begin to be broken and new and exciting trends start to emerge.
Not only do students gain confidence in their ability they also become independent, secure in the knowledge that, if they get lost, they can always go back to the beginning and reinvent. It’s a magical time.

Beautifully considered drawing from the 1st year

During the first weeks the 1st year students recognise their own drawing style, appreciate the talents of others and experiment with new ways of looking, recording and developing for design.
Here Rae guides them through sensitive line and tonal excersises.
