Congratulations Amelia.

Many congratulations to 3rd year student Amelia who has won the Silk Bureau design competition.

We will feature an interview with Amelia when she has come down from cloud 9.

Amelia is so looking forward to visiting the company and seeing her work printed and upholstered onto a chair.

The Alchemy of Colour

Continuing with their exploration of all aspects of colour the first years get to grips with the science bit!
How do you achieve that perfect tone,how do you made that a shade lighter,how do you set the colour for good? All is revealed.

The 3rd year students refer back to colour referencing they learnt in the 1st year and confidently experiment now with colour combinations and accents.

Alumni-Anna Glasbrook

Catching up with the super creative and colour fiend Anna Glasbrook,alumni of Bath School of Art and Design.
Watch out for Anna at all the major shows in the coming years and watch this space as she reports back.

I was super excited to be accepted as a member of Design Nation and then to be selected to show on their stand at Decorex this year (2015)

I also have commissions in Bristol and London and I’ve been shortlisted for
Friends of the Garden Award and in with the chance to work with a glass master craftsperson…fingers crossed!

Amy is right on trend with her final collection.Taking an exotic, colourful and tropical jungle theme Amy Nichols is working her ideas out in the form of printed and appliqué textiles.The bold and exuberant outcomes are accessories and printed fabric lengths.We’re looking forward to seeing everything out on colourful display!
