Sarah Skilton, soon to be a 2nd year on BA HONS Textile Design for Fashion and Interiors,has taken the opportunity of an internship and has been working with friend of Bath School of Art and Design, Ekta Kaul.
So far she is having a wonderful time making and researching into new ideas for Ekta to take to shows at Christmas and also for her new collection for autumn/winter16.
Sarah says-
Its exciting to get an idea of having your own business and seeing prototypes come in for more development.

Penny Jeffries,see yesterday’s post, has been awarded the student bursary at the prestigious international Quilt Festival in Birmingham.

Born in Yamagata, Japan, in 1984
She studied textile design at Bath school of Art and Design.
Especially practiced embroidery
which is not just decoration but also manipulation for fashion fabric.
After graduated from art school,
I had worked as an assistant textile designer at Issey Miyake for 7 months.
Now, I am working as embroidery designer with different kind of materials in Japan.
PATTERIE is combined word with patter(n) and Rie which is my name.
PATTERIE sounds like fall off with surprise or good news,
so I hope people would like to sleep down with joy to see and have my stuff.
