Rebecca says….

On the British Wool / Country Life Magazine ‘Design Sense” stand at Decorex International 2017, flanked by Brintons Carpets , Roger Oates Design and Zoffany Fabrics and Wallpapers as interior design businesses who all use British Wool as an important part of their brand story. During the 4 days of the show I demonstrated hand-weaving on my old floor loom (as well as lots of talking to the lovely interested audience!) I wove a design created for the occasion in 2 natural grey Herdwick wool yarns.

Textile Design for Fashion and Interiors Alumni Amelia Maguire.

Since finishing my degree last year, I have moved home to the seaside, to Falmouth in Cornwall.

I am in the process of buying a loom and setting up a little studio.

I work in a  beautiful interior shop so I can continue to follow my passion for Interior Design and styling.

Recently I presented my work to John Lewis, it has fuelled my passion to get my work out to a wider audience.

I’ve launched my website as a portfolio to showcase my woven surfaces as a useful tool when approaching future ventures.

I have tried to keep the style extremely simple in order to showcase my work to its full potential. My images tend to be detailed close ups showing of the surface texture with some images showing my styling – excellent quality images are a definite must! I hope you enjoy having a little look!

We look forward to seeing your work on sale Amelia and more work being produced when your loom is up and running!

Please make your site and selling site. We’re so keen to buy!
